Leaf by leaf, we are building brighter futures for the tea-tribe and rural families of Barak Valley — through education, healthcare, and women empowerment.
Barik Nagar ICCHA Foundation (BNIF) was established in 2020 with a quiet but fierce purpose — to stand beside the underprivileged communities of Barak Valley. From our roots in the tea-tribe villages, we have grown into a trusted hand for families navigating poverty, health crises, and limited access to education.
Every program we run is led by local volunteers who share the soil, stories, and struggles of the people we serve. Because real change doesn't arrive from above — it grows from within.
Giving every child a fair chance at learning.
Free camps & awareness for the underserved.
Dignity, skill & livelihood for every woman.
Standing up for the unheard and the unseen.
Serving Barak Valley since 2020
The promises that guide every step we take in the villages of Barak Valley.
Our vision is to catalyze Educational and Socio-economic change in rural Assam through providing vocational and technical education to unemployed youths and empower the women of that area and promote livelihood opportunities for maximum number of people.
Our Mission statement is Empowering communities, enhancing lives to empower individuals and communities through education, healthcare, and sustainable development initiatives.
Promote education and skill development. Improve healthcare access and outcomes. Foster sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation. Support vulnerable populations, including women and children & Youths.
Every statistic below represents a family that slept easier, a mother who felt seen, a child who came back to school.
Five focus areas — one shared belief: dignity must reach every doorstep.
Every photograph is a story — of trust earned, of help received, of a community showing up for itself.
Every rupee scanned below walks straight into a village — as a hygiene kit for a teenage girl, a medicine for a grandmother, a school bag for a child who nearly gave up.
A small, deeply rooted team — teachers, organisers and neighbours — guiding BNIF forward.

"We began with almost nothing — a notebook, a few volunteers, and a stubborn belief that our tea-tribe villages deserved more. Today, when I see a young girl finishing her homework by candlelight, I know we chose the right work."
"The safety of our women, the future of our children — these are not projects for us, they are promises. BNIF exists because a community decided that no one should walk alone."
"Through the Shakti program, I learned tailoring and now I earn my own income. For the first time in my life, I feel independent. BNIF didn't just teach me a skill — they gave me confidence."
"The health camp saved my mother's life. She had been suffering for months but couldn't afford a doctor. The free check-up detected her condition early and we got the treatment she needed."
Whether you want to volunteer, donate, partner, or simply learn more about our work — we'd love to hear from you.
